Many Minds © Alastair Brookes
Alongside my own practice as an artist, I work as a freelance drama/theatre facilitator, having led workshops and weekly sessions for all ages and abilities, from primary school students to older people, including those with complex needs and experiences of mental ill-health. I truly believe in the benefits of creativity to wellbeing. I am particularly interested in working with groups who do not currently have access to theatre and the Arts or who experience barriers.
Previous workshops include: Lightbox Theatre, Social Skills Agency, Travelling Light Theatre Company, Milestones Trust, Bristol Academy of Drama, Prime Theatre, The Big Act, Myers-Insole Local Learning, Many Minds, Bristol Old Vic, primary and secondary schools.
Carlota is very gentle and understanding - feel very held and listened to within the space. She is able to hold the space with a very calm authority, and engaging presence and so much creativity.

I loved the women's theatre group because it felt safe to explore theatrical dynamics and creative ways to interact with ourselves and others.

My sessions are tailored to each group's interests and needs and can focus on a variety of skills, such as devised theatre, clowning, improv, creative writing, autobiography, physical theatre, classical and contemporary text. I also deliver facilitator training.
