Carlota will be on a 2-week residency at Teatrul Tineretului, from 16th to 27th October, researching how mental ill-health and disability are perceived in Romania. She is interested in speaking to people such as psychiatrists, social workers, historians, church members, disabled people, carers, as well as the general public, and getting a a wide range of perspectives. 

Future Laboratory is a project of research residences throughout Europe to identify missing narratives on our stages, with a focus on social inclusion.

For 8 hours, Carlota will take the stage. After 1 week in Piatra Neamt, she will start the process of looking through her research and developing an artistic outcome. Come and witness the artist’s process and research methods, share your own experiences and thoughts, and help answer the question: What are we not talking about that we should be talking about?

Join us for a sharing of the research outcomes, followed by a conversation with the artist. This will be a relaxed event, everyone is welcome.
